Reports said the young girl’s spinal cord was severed. Apparently, doctors said the girl will never be able to walk again. Her mother suffered a concussion and a broken wrist in the crash. Authorities said the driver of the SUV was an off-duty police officer and may have been distracted at the time of the crash. He was cited for careless driving resulting in serious bodily injury.
