Colorado is home to thousands of motorcyclists who love to explore the abundance of scenic roadways here. It’s no secret that motorcycles can also be dangerous. Deadly accident
Recently, an accident near Nederland claimed the life of a motorcyclist and injured another rider. The three-vehicle crash happened just before noon at the intersection of Colorado 119 and Colorado 72. Apparently, two motorcycles were headed north on 119 near mile marker 23, approaching the intersection with Colorado 72. As the motorcycles neared the intersection, a pickup truck apparently attempted to turn left from 72 onto Colorado 119 South and crossed the path of the motorcycles.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the pickup truck hit the right side of the first motorcycle, ejecting the rider. The second motorcycle then collided with the first motorcycle and hit the ejected rider, reports said. Authorities said the ejected motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene while the second motorcyclist suffered injuries.
