Fiery crash kills 1, injures another

On Behalf of | Dec 16, 2022 | Car Accidents

Driving is one of the riskiest things most Colorado residents do daily. No one can predict what will happen on the road. A recent fiery car accident at an intersection in Aurora resulted in the death of a driver.

Details of accident

The tragic accident involved two vehicles and happened just before 9 p.m. at the intersection of East Mansfield Avenue and South Buckley Road. According to reports from Aurora police, a Dodge sedan was traveling east on East Mansfield Avenue, and the driver attempted to make a left turn onto South Buckley Road. Apparently, the Dodge collided with a Honda sedan at the intersection.

Reportedly, the Dodge caught fire after the collision. A passenger in the Dodge managed to escape, but tragically, authorities said the driver became trapped in the vehicle and perished in the fire. The driver of the Honda was apparently injured in the accident and taken to a local hospital, along with the passenger in the Dodge. The accident is currently being investigated by the Aurora Police Department’s Traffic Investigation unit.

Where can victims and families get help?

For many drivers, being involved in an accident is the furthest thing from their minds when they get behind the wheel. Those in Colorado who are hurt or suffer the loss of a loved one due to negligence in car accidents have the right to speak with an experienced attorney and pursue legal recourse. A successful lawsuit could supply victims and families with rightful and much-needed financial relief.
