It seems that roadways across Colorado are becoming more and more dangerous with each passing year. Car accidents are not only one of the leading causes of death and injury here, but across the United States as well. A serious or fatal crash can happen in the blink of an eye and often completely without warning.
Wrong-way crash
A recent wrong-way accident in Aurora seriously injured one driver and ended the life of another. The crash happened during the evening hours at the intersection of South Aurora Parkway and South Southlands Parkway. According to reports from local authorities, the driver of an SUV was traveling south in the northbound lanes of Aurora Parkway. Reports said the SUV then crashed head-on into an SUV that was headed the opposite direction.
Death and injury
Authorities said the male driver of the second SUV was critically injured and rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the female driver of the wrong-way SUV was killed in the crash, reports said. Reportedly, the Aurora Police Traffic Section is currently investigating the crash.
Roadways across Colorado are only going to become more crowded and hazardous as more people take up residence here. Those in Colorado who suffer injuries or the loss of a dear loved one due to the negligence of another party in an accident can take action by contacting a knowledgeable and skilled attorney. Damages from a successfully litigated claim could help victims and families deal with the pain and suffering that often comes with a traumatic accident.
