The challenges of living with a brain injury

Even minor car accidents can have significant health consequences. However, a brain injury could be life changing. Many mild traumatic brain injury victims in Colorado recover enough to continue independent living within six to 12 months. Nevertheless, there are also those whose injuries cause cognitive, emotional and behavioral problems that are life altering.

Driver allegedly caused 2 car accidents

Millions of drivers are on the streets, roads and highways each day in Colorado and all across the country. Unfortunately, car accidents are inevitable with the volume of traffic, poor road conditions or a variety of unsafe driving behaviors. Naturally, being involved in an accident is stressful and most drivers would hope to not experience one again. However, a motorist in Colorado Springs was allegedly involved in two incidents within minutes of each other.

Wrongful death: Bicyclist dead after crash with impaired driver

Many Colorado residents ride their bicycles for both transportation and recreation throughout the state. While driving on streets or roads with other traffic, they certainly expect that motorists will be aware of their presence and travel near them with precaution. Unfortunately, this was not the case for a cyclist in Montrose County, where he was struck and killed by an impaired driver. The victim's family may decide to pursue wrongful death litigation due to the alleged actions of the driver.

Brain injury victim shares story to educate others

Accidents involving distracted drivers can cause a myriad of problems for Colorado residents and others around the nation. From fender benders to horrific crashes that result in serious injuries and even death, these incidents are more tragic since they are preventable. One victim of such an accident in another state suffered a traumatic brain injury and decided to document her story, years after it occurred.

Car accidents: 1 dead in Colorado

A man is tragically dead following a serious two-vehicle accident near the town of Wellington, according to local sources. Colorado State Patrol has confirmed the death of the 37-year-old man, as well as injury suffered by a 71-year-old woman. For the moment, police are unsure what caused the crash, but as with any car accidents causing fatalities, they will continue to investigate until a cause is found.
