Car accidents: 3 dead in Colorado

Three people are died after a two-car crash in Colorado Springs, where authorities are now considering adding safety upgrades to the intersection where the accident took place. The Colorado State Patrol confirmed the deaths in a collision described as "extremely violent" and taking place at high speeds. An investigation is underway, but as with many car accidents, it will take time to confirm the cause of the crash. 

Car accidents: 2 hurt in Colorado

An accident on Wolf Creek Pass has sent two people to a local hospital, according to authorities. Colorado State Patrol responded to the single-car crash in the early morning of Nov. 9, wherein a driver and passenger were both hurt. Car accidents of this type typically require careful investigation to determine their cause, and Colorado State Patrol is currently conducting such an inquiry at this time. 

Car accidents: High school student dies in crash

An accident in Delta County has killed a senior from a local high school, according to local law enforcement. Colorado authorities confirmed the death of an unidentified student after an accident in Peach Valley. When the victims of car accidents are under the age of majority, their names are withheld from publication until next-of-kin can be notified, as is the case here. The police investigation is still underway at this time. 

Wrongful death suit possible in bicyclist death

Police in Colorado Springs have confirmed the death of a 62-year-old man after he was hit while riding his bicycle. The Colorado Springs resident was badly injured in a collision with a car and later died of his injuries. His family appears to have grounds to file a wrongful death suit against the motorist involved in the crash, separately from any criminal charges that are filed.
