Car accidents have the potential to cause much devastation to those affected by the aftermath. Not only can there be much damage to the vehicles involved, but car accidents can result in serious physical injury or even death to the people in those vehicles. A Colorado woman was killed in a recent afternoon accident.
State patrol officers say a 21-year-old man was driving his Jeep on a highway when the vehicle went off the road, hit a steel post and an embankment, then rolled over a number of times. There were two female passengers in the Jeep, one in the front seat and one in the back. The girl in the back was not wearing her seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle as it rolled. An eyewitness to the accident tried to revive her by performing CPR, but she died at the scene.
The other female passenger had to be cut from the Jeep by responding firefighters and was transported with the driver to a nearby hospital. A report stated they were both seriously injured. The investigation into the accident has not yet concluded but drug use is suspected as being a likely component.
Loss of life because of the negligence of another person may lead to a lawsuit filed by the family of the one who died. While no amount of money will bring back their loved one, the family may look to find justice by seeking compensation to help with the pain and suffering they have experienced. Colorado family members who are going through a time of grieving from one of these types of car accidents might want assistance from a professional who will fight to get the justice they seek.
