A Colorado passenger was left suspended in an overturned pickup truck late one Tuesday night. After serious car accidents, dealing with the oftentimes long-lasting physical and emotional pain can be difficult for victims to handle. For Colorado car accident victims, a personal injury claim can be a smart step in dealing with the aftermath of the wreck.
For reasons still unknown, the driver of an old Toyota truck lost control of his vehicle while northbound on I25. After veering into the median, his truck flipped and landed on the guardrail on the opposite side of the interstate. The driver’s injuries are still unknown, but his passenger sustained serious injuries after the impact.
The driver’s condition and cause of the wreck are still not known because police have been unable to find him. Shortly after the wreck, as passing motorists pulled over to see if they could help before authorities arrived, the man ran. According to authorities, the crash is still under investigation to see if alcohol or even drugs might have played a role in the wreck.
The driver is likely to face criminal charges for fleeing the scene of an accident. For those in Colorado who are seriously injured in a car accident, successfully pursuing a personal injury claim can help with everything from medical bills stemming from the wreck, lost wages from time missed from work, and even lasting pain and emotional trauma. The truck driver’s passenger, who was abandoned at the wreck, might find that a personal injury claim can make his road to recovery a little easier.
