A woman, who is also known as a marijuana activist and founding member of Moms For Marijuana International, has been in an accident. The Labor Day weekend in Colorado is one that should have been filled with barbecues and mingling with close friends and family. Unfortunately, the weekend was ravaged when the woman was killed in a fatal accident due to a drunk driver.
The accident reportedly occurred when the woman's boyfriend was driving on the interstate while she was a passenger. Another vehicle, driven by a female driver, was traveling in the wrong direction at the time of the crash. The woman's boyfriend was unable to avoid the head-on collision and there was no where else to move their vehicle.
Upon a preliminary investigation, authorities discovered that the other motorist was driving under the influence. The boyfriend and the drunk driver sustained unknown injuries. Sadly, the woman died as a result of in accident. She was a jack of many trades and in addition to being a dedicated marijuana activist, she was also an artist and a radio host. A fundraiser is being held to raise money for the four children she has left behind.
The Colorado woman was well-known in the community and is surely missed. The fatal accident has left children without their mother and a family without their loved one. The family may be able to recover damages suffered by filing a wrongful death suit against the drunk driver. Nothing will bring the woman back to life, but financial compensation for damages sustained may offer the family some type of relief.
