A six-car accident took place at an intersection recently. The car accident resulted in three people sustaining injuries, and the victims were transported to the hospital for medical treatment. Colorado Authorities believe that one of the drivers had a medical condition which possibly caused a hit-and-run and the multiple vehicle crash.
Authorities responded to the scene of the accident, which happened around 4:00 p.m. Reportedly, the accident occurred due to the driver of a Chevy that was driving recklessly. The driver of the Chevy allegedly caused a chain reaction when he crashed into multiple cars that were waiting at a red light. Emergency crews rescued one of the drivers who was trapped between the Chevy and the drivers-side of her vehicle.
Those that suffered injuries include the “reckless” driver, the rescued woman and another victim. The exact details of their injuries and current conditions have not been released. Authorities speculate that the driver of the Chevy may have been suffering from a medical condition when the accident took place. The incident is still being investigated.
As the investigation continues, more details may be released in this case. No citations have been reported, however, the driver of the Chevy may face civil litigation in Colorado brought on by the car accident victims. Depending on the extent of their injuries, the victims may have missed time from work and face medical costs associated with the accident. The victims may be entitled to file personal injury lawsuits to recoup financial losses.
