Driver and passenger injured in Colorado motorcycle accident

Motorcycle riders in Colorado and across the nation are aware of the dangers of riding their bikes on the American roadways. Statistics are sobering, and the unfortunate reality is that motorcyclists have far less of a chance of surviving an accident unscathed than drivers of enclosed vehicles. One recent accident involving a car versus motorcycle accident demonstrates just how unbalanced the playing field can be.

2 killed in Colorado truck accident, father and son charged

When police responded to a report of an accident on Interstate 70 outside of Denver, they found that two women had been killed after being hit by a truck that was towing a loaded horse trailer. The victims had stopped on the side of the road to change a flat tire. They were en route to a joint birthday celebration with another family member in Aurora at the time of the fatal accident. An 18-year-old passenger in their vehicle, the son of one of the victims, survived the crash.

Driver jumps curb, strikes teens in fatal Colorado car accident

Any parent of a teenager knows the fears and worries that surround teen driving and the risk of auto accidents. Inexperience, lack of confidence, and immature decision-making skills all add to the risk that a teenage driver will be involved in a car accident. For the family of one Colorado teen, none of those factors contributed to the car accident that led to his death. It was someone else's negligence that caused the accident.

Driver found not guilty in fatal car accident; family outraged

Friends and family of the victims of a fatal car accident are struggling to understand how the driver responsible for the tragic accident has escaped criminal conviction in the case. The driver, a 35-year old Colorado woman, was charged with five counts of criminally negligent homicide as well as two counts of child abuse stemming from the fatal car accident. On Friday, June 15 a Colorado jury found her not guilty on all charges.
