Head-on car accident in Colorado ends in multiple injuries

Patricia M. Jarzobski

Traveling on the road can be dangerous if a driver is not paying attention. Colorado drivers should always keep their eyes open and stay inside their own lane. If a motorist is not careful, there is a chance of a car accident that can cause very serious injuries to the other drivers and their passengers.

On March 13, an early morning crash occurred on U.S. 34 causing two hours of traffic delays from the highway being blocked. A car was traveling on the highway when it drifted across into the opposite traffic lane. As the car crossed into the other lane, it collided head-on into a truck that was in the westbound lane.

The driver of the truck was a male who has not yet been identified. According to local authorities, he was taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. The driver of the first vehicle was also taken to a medical facility for medical attention, but her injuries were more severe. She has also not yet been identified.

A Colorado State Trooper reported that the car accident is still being investigated. The man who was injured in the accident may be eligible to file a personal injury claim against the responsible driver for his injuries. If the claim is successfully navigated, he may be awarded damages for pain and suffering and compensation to assist with the incurred medical bills. Any person who is injured in an accident can research filing a claim against the reckless driver. Depending on the individual circumstances for each case, the injured party may be awarded restitution for medical treatment and other damages.
